| Boston Comedy Festival organizer Jim McCue today announced an exciting new partnership with the new Mottley’s Comedy Club, 61 Chatham St. in Boston. The Grand Opening Week at Mottley’s Comedy Club will be part of the 9th annual Boston Comedy Festival. Mottley’s is a 100-seat room dedicated to stand-up and other forms of comedy, founded by Boston comics Tim McIntire and Jon Lincoln, as well as Jeff Fairbanks. It is located in the Faneuil Hall area, a neighborhood recently vacated by Boston’s venerable Comedy Connection. Boston Comedy and Movie Festival organizer Jim McCue today announced that the Boston Comedy Festival will partner with Emerson College to present and Lifetime Achievement Award to The Smothers Brothers. The presentation, which the Smothers Brothers will attend, will be on Sept. 20 at the Cutler Majestic Theatre, as part of the Boston Comedy Festival Contest Finals. The Smothers Brothers are celebrating 50 years in comedy this year. |
